Two Air France flights from United States to French capital Paris were diverted and landed safely Tuesday night due to bomb threats.

The flight from Washington’s Dulles International Airport in Virginia, Air France Flight 55, to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris was diverted to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The other, Air France Flight 65, from Los Angeles landed to an airport in Salt Lake City.

According to US government official, a bomb threat was called from the ground. However, it is not yet known whether the same person called in for both the threats.

FBI said the law enforcement agencies are investigating on the phone threats to determine its nature.

CNN law enforcement analyst Jonathan Gilliam said even though the call may be defined as a hoax, but it is an act of terrorism and a tactic is used to affect political or psychological change on a community.

The threats came four days after act of terror rocked six locations of French capital Paris with guns and bombs that killed at least 129 innocent people. Islamic State claimed responsibility of the Friday night attacks.

French President Francois Hollande has declared a state of emergency in the country.

On Saturday night French warplanes launched several deadly airstrikes at ISIS sites in Syrian city of Raqqa.
