Google is equipping its next-gen Android 6.0 Marshmallow with several new and neat features and the fingerprint support is said to be the most interesting one. Thanks to fingerprint application programming interface (API). Apart from security unlocking the screen, it will also extend the function to Google Play store too.

With this users can be authorized by the API to Play Store purchases with their fingerprint. This will help save time while shopping.

There are several other features too. It has a feature named Doze that automatically puts the handset into a sleep state. However, it will ring too for incoming calls and messages. It will wake users too.

A complimentary setting named App Standby is included that limits battery drain on seldom-used apps.

The Marshmallow supports a Bluetooth stylus like modifier keys and pressure sensitivity.

It has a Do Not Disturb features that only allows a call to ring it someone tries calling twice within 15 minutes.

Google chooses confectionary names and the earlier versions of Android are “Ice Cream Sandwich” (Android 4.0), “Jelly Bean” (Android 4.1 to 4.3.1), “KitKat” (Android 4.4) and “Lollipop” (Android 5.0 to 5.1.1).
