Boko Haram has lately released 80 kidnapped Chibok girls following negotiations with Muhammadu administration. The terms of agreement between them have not been revealed.

About 300 girls were kidnapped by the Islamist terror group from a residential school in Chibok in mid-April 2014.

The freed girls are presently in Banki town in Borno state and they will be airlifted to an unknown destination. They will undergo psychological and medical test and thereafter will be handed over to their families.

Meanwhile, it is also learned the terrorist organization is on plans to kidnap westerners to raise ransom money for their fight.

A press statement released by America’s foreign office warns westerners to be careful if planning to travel to Nigeria.

The Telegraph writes the militant group may kidnap foreign workers in Bama local government area of Borno state.

The statement read further, “We have received reports that Boko Haram is actively planning to kidnap western foreign workers in Bama local government area of Borno state, along the Kumshe-Banki axis.”
