BREAKING: Bus Collided With Trailer In California, 20 Killed

About twenty people have been killed early Sunday in an accident near Palm Springs in California when a tour bus collided with a tractor trailer.

According to California Highway Patrol, 21 injured people have been taken three nearby hospitals.

Officials said the accident occurred at around 5:17 a.m. local time on Interstate 10. For several hours the highway has been closed.

The crash has been confirmed by California Highway Patrol official without giving more details.

Bodies were covered with blankets later on the side of the freeway.

Eyewitnesses said the back of the truck trailer was completely damaged along with the front of the tour bus that was crumpled inward.

Firefighters attending the spot used ladders to climb the back of the bus in search of victims and passengers.

Federal records suggest Alhambra-based USA Holiday operated the bus. In recent months the company has advertised trips from Koreatown, the San Fernando Valley and Southeast Los Angeles to casinos across Southern California through social platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
