BREAKING: SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Explodes While Launching

A SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket exploded on its launch pad little while ago, after 9 a.m. local time, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The explosion destroyed the rocket completely as well as the communications satellite that was supposed to reach the orbit on Saturday.

According to SpaceX spokesman Phil Larson, they have lost the vehicle and payload as well in the explosion, but no one was injured.

Reports reveal there were multiple explosions that sent billowing plumes of smoke into the atmosphere.

This was the ninth launch by the company this year and it is the biggest setback since June 2015 when explosion of dragon vessel destroyed thousands of pounds of cargo.

SpaceX was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk aiming to revolutionize space technology.
