BREAKING: US Suspends Fast Approval Of H-1B Visas

A longer visa approval process has been designed for those who are looking for temporary jobs at high-tech US companies. The move comes immediately after President Donald Trump announced to be temporarily suspending expedited applications for the H-1B visas.

From April 13 onward the premium processing will be suspended for up to six months, said the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

In the fast processing the applications are eligible for approvals within fifteen days. In other cases it takes up to a few months.

The H-1B non-immigrant visa allows the companies in US to employ graduate-level workers.

Presently the H-1B visas cap is 65,000 a year and it is valid for three years.

It is being said the temporary suspension will help in reducing a backlog of long-pending visa petitions. It will also further decrease the overall H-1B processing times.

During his election campaign the president promised to be cracking down on immigrants.
