The first Nokia Android phones, dubbed as Nokia 6, from the stable of Finnish company HMD Global is learned to be hitting the shelves of Amazon exclusively in the United States in early July and it would be priced tagged $229.

HMD Global currently owns the rights of manufacturing and marketing Nokia-branded smartphones. The company announced to be coming up with three Android phones soon at the Mobile World Congress this year.

The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch screen offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 3GB RAM. Its on-board storage is 32GB and supports microSD for the expansion of further storage.

The phone runs on Android Nougat without any adulteration and this mean there would be no bundled apps or overlaid skins when unboxed. The specifications are learned to be average as it is a midrange device.

HMD Global said the Nokia 6 phone comes with a metal unibody design built out of a single block of aluminium to offer a premium touch.

The phone will not work on Sprint and Verizon CDMA-based networks. T-Mobile will fully support it while AT&T will be partially supported.

Currently the phone will be made available in matte black and silver colors. The “tempered blue” and copper colors will be made available later this summer.

Amid the release of Note 6 the company adds smaller Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 phones too will be hitting the US market.
