Is Android Mobile As Safe As Apple’s iPhone

The big debate has got some answer now. People have usually thought iPhone is more secure than Android phones.

Lately director of security at Android, Adrian Ludwig, said mobile phones run on Android come with almost identical security capabilities compared to iOS.

He added Google’s latest in-house phone Pixel is equipped with pretty much equal security features in comparison to Apple’s iPhone.

Ludwig is also confident Android may soon overtake iOS.

Speaking at the O’Reilly Security Conference he further continued, “In the long term, the open ecosystem of Android is going to put it in a much better place.”

According to Ludwig, the built-in security product of Android, Safety Net, scans every day 400 million devices and checks six billions apps too.

He added very few Android devices have malware and in fact the number is even less than 1 percent.

For years Android devices have been known to be vulnerable.
