The opposition leader Raila Odinga claimed election results were not fair in which former President Uhuru Kenyatta won and became the first citizen for the second consecutive term.

Following the announcement of election results violence broke in several parts of the country leaving about 28 people dead. Many of the victims were shot by police.

Meanwhile, it is highly feared the political violence may destabilize the country like what happened after the disputed 2007 election.

Kenya is currently the most developed economy in the region. It has emerged to be the third top destination in Africa for rich individuals. A report reveals the country has beaten Mauritius and Seychelles.

The Afrasia New World Wealth report reveals the High Net-Worth Individuals (NHWIs) highly preferred Kenya after South Africa and Morocco.

In 2016 4,000 NHWI visited Kenya and the figure was 5,000 for Morocco and 15,000 for South Africa.
