For past 12 weeks the music video is also steady at number one on Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It seems to be simply unstoppable and is also the most liked video on YouTube.

A report reveals the music video is adding about 15 million new views in every 24 hours and if the pace continues it may soon reach four billion views, the first to reach such milestone on YouTube.

The Latin single was first posted on YouTube in January 2017.

Many Americans may still be familiar with the Justin Bieber remix version of the “Despacito,” but it would be a surprise to them the original is still the supreme in streaming as well as on YouTube.

“Despacito” is a dance-filled music video and the locations of shoot are in Puerto Rico, which is also the original home of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

The music video is also Yankee’s own records as an artist. Recently he surpassed Ed Sheeran on Spotify to become the most-listened artist globally.

“Depacito” is composed in common time and is a reggaeton-pop song. It is written in B minor key note equipped with tempo of 89 beats per minute. It was well received by music critics after release in January as digital download and April in physical format.
