An arrest warrant has been issued by Saudi Arabia authorities for a model named Khulood alleging she has walked through the heritage village of Ushaiqer wearing short skirt and a top.

In the Saudi Arabia dress laws women and grown up girls are not allowed to wear short skirts. They are expected to wear a conservative and loose-fitting clothes and it can be like a full-length cloak called abaya locally.

Khulood’s action has sparked outrage across the nation over social media and some of the users have called for her arrest.

Females are also urged to carry a scarf with them as the religious police may asked them to cover the head.

The religious police is called as the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. The department has issued a statement saying reports have been received at their end and they are working with relevant authorities.

Among several outrage tweets one user writes, “People who don’t respect the kingdom’s rules, don’t deserve to live in it.”

One another user alleged on Twitter the model is trying to provoke others and has gone against the social rules of Saudi Arabia.

However, several social media users showed their support too and hailed the model for challenging the strict dress code of the country.

One of the Twitter users wrote Khulood didn’t force others to follower her on Snapchat and so why there is an arrest warrant.
