A day before British Prime Minister called Nigeria and Afghanistan as fantastically corrupt countries. Today he said the government of both the countries have been taking remarkable steps forward on corruption.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari was asked in London at the anti-corruption conference whether his country was fantastically corrupt. He replied yes it is.

Buhari came to power in 2015 and vowed to fight against corruption.

Buhari added he would be more interested if the British banks return the stolen assets of Nigeria.

He also mentioned corruption in the country was endemic and he is committed to fighting it.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistan embassy in London said bold action has been taken by President Ghani in tackling corruption.

The first comment of Cameroon came while he was speaking at an event marking 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II about hosting world and business leaders in London at this week’s anti-corruption summit.

Cameroon was caught saying on camera, “We’ve got some leaders of some fantastically corrupt countries coming to Britain… Nigeria and Afghanistan, possibly the two most corrupt countries in the world.”
