Samsung’s highly disappointed device, Galaxy Note 7, is lately learned to be sold in developing countries. Hope the refurbished model don’t explode as earlier for which the South Korean had to recall it globally.

The Galaxy Note 7 was launched in the second-half of 2016 and within month of its release couple of complaints emerged the device was catching fire and in some cases it exploded too.

The total recall had cost Samsung about $5 billion and abreast of it had to some extent hampered reputation of the brand too. Investigation revealed the batteries were affected by a defective negative electrode in it.

Vietname, India and other such developing markets seems to be now fit for the refurbished Note 7.

A report published in the local Hankyung news agency website reveals about 2.5 million Note 7 devices are being refurbished and will be soon ready to hit the shelves.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also been hit by arrest of its de-facto head Lee Jae Young for corruption charges in the country.

Earlier this year Samsung said profits had been hit by the scandal following expensive lesson learned last year by the recall.
