If you are too lazy to wake up early and go for morning walk, here’s a good news for you. Researchers conducted a study and found Vitamin C supplements can replace it.

The study says taking one dose of Vitamin C supplements on daily basis may offer similar benefits as found in regular exercise in obese or overweight adults.

University of Colorado, Boulder in the US, conducted the study.

Details of the study were presented at the 14th International Conference on Endothelin: Physiology, Pathophysiology and Therapeutics in Savannah, Georgia, US.

It is said the blood vessels elevates the small vessel-constricting protein called endothelin (ET)-1 in obese and overweight adults. This results with making the vessels prone to constricting, which means becoming less responsive to the demand of blood flow. Under such condition the development of vascular disease may take place.

Until now exercises were suggested to reduce the ET-1 activity, but exercising daily becomes a challenge.

The researchers examined whether the supplements can lower the ET-1 activity as it improves vessel function.

It was found a daily intake of 500 mg of Vitamin C supplements every day can help in reducing the ET-1 activity in obese and overweight adults.

However, there is a flip side to it. It is known that Vitamin C adds more Kidney stones. Some of the earlier related studies have brushed aside the idea of taking Vitamin C every day.
