It has been a long journey for Caitlyn to finally find her own identity. In just four hours after her first tweet as Caitlyn, Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn), has become a world trend, breaking President Obama’s record.

By record, the fastest growing record on Twitter was held by POTUS. He gained an instant one million followers in just five hours last May 18. The Olympian, formerly Bruce Jenner, was mentioned or tweeted about in over 1.5 million tweets. These tweets include support from family and friends.

First Tweet

Caitlyn Jenner shared her first tweet. The tweet was a copy of the Vanity Fair cover with a message to her followers, which continues to grow. The cover features Bruce Jenner in his transformed self.

Thirty minutes after this first tweet, Caitlyn got over 60 thousand followers, and is still growing.

The second tweet reads: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.” The tweet gained 315,812 favorites and 227,402 retweets in 9 hours and continues to grow.

Who was Caitlyn?

Caitlyn was formerly known as the famous Olympian Bruce Jenner. He was married to the famous Kris Kardashian. They and their family have been on the TV show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” for a couple of years now.

Bruce Jenner came out and expressed himself as a transgender last April. It was featured on an ABC show. He was interviewed by Diane Sawyer. And last May, during the 2-part special of their show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Bruce who is now Caitlyn, got emotional while sharing the ups and downs of her journey with the family during the transition to being a woman.

Family Support

Caitlyn Jenner’s family has been fully supportive of her transition. His wife, Kris, expressed her support behind her tears while having a conversation with Bruce, in one of the clips taken from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Their daughter, Kendall, gave a comment about the Vanity Fair cover through her Instagram account and Twitter. She says “now that’s a cover” on Instagram and “be free now pretty bird” on Twitter.
