2010 Olympics In Tokyo To Include Skateboarding Sport

Skateboarding is said to be included in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, and Jacksoriville could be a major player as the sport has a deep history there.

Kona Skatepark caretaker Martin Ramos said, “Skateboarding is born and bred in America. Like hot dogs, apple pie and skateboarding.”

He added to see his city becoming an Olympic training center for Skateboarding.

A 12-year-old Connor Lerian who practices the sport at Kona said it would be amazing for him to represent his country in the Olympic for Skateboarding.

Kids in good number practice regularly at Kona and it would be not surprising to see some of them in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

A practiser, Chloe Kerch, at Kona said the 2020 would be a great breakthrough for the players like her. She added her father was a skateboarder and she has inherited the sport from him.

Another skateboarder, a 12-year-old Tyson Zane, said finally they will make it a real sport and could represent America.

Apart from Skateboarding, four more sports have been approved by the International Olympic Committee for 2020 Games and those are baseball/softball, sport climbing, surfing and karate.
