2015 MTV VMA To Kick Off In Few Hours, All Eyes On Wildcard Host Miley Cyrus

All eyes at today’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) will be on wildcard host Miley Cyrus, who is the image of course that the network has harnessed in promoting the show.

In the promotions the 22-year-old former Disney Channel star is seen wearing dolphin and pizza pasties to cover her breasts, dressed in a spacesuit and swinging on a wire while chanting some curse words that is of course bleeped out and strutting in a skimpy swimsuit.

She is the same Cyrus that paved her way into national headlines in 2013 when she performed a latex lingerie-clad Blurred Lines at the VMA with Robin Thicke.

According to executive producer of the show, Amy Doyle, the network has a long-standing relationship with Miley Cyrus since 2013 and she still is an amazing character in pop culture.

MTV VMA shows are the platform where such celebs try making a splash. Not to forget the Lady Gaga wearing a dress made of raw meat in 2010 and in 2011 Beyonce revealed baby bump. There are several more too.

Doyle added that the artists with whom they are collaborating look to make their most memorable performance at the event and this makes creative competition.

The other performers tonight include Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Torri Kelly.

Taylor Swift this year has the maximum number of VMA nominations. She has nine.
