The statement further reads an operation was conducted by the government forces and other security institutions in Nahr-e-Saraj district to release the prisoners.

It is reported the command and control center of the militants too has been destroyed in the operation with the help of airstrikes carried out by the Afghan Air Force.

Six Taliban militants have been killed in the operation, but no comment has yet been issued by any of the anti-government armed militant groups.

Meanwhile, it is learned more $15 billion of fund will be raised by International community including United States for Afghan security forces through 2020.

The US is expected to sanction about $10.5 billion even though it is true billions of dollars have earlier been wasted or stolen over the period of past 15 years, the longest war for America.

Details could be discussed at the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw that begins July 8.

NATO leaders said they have confidence in the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to safeguard the money of international community.

US President Barack Obama had earlier pledged to end the war, but lately has backtracked on the withdrawal plan of American troops. He has agreed to station about 10,000 soldiers in Afghanistan.
