United Kingdom-based model Lilah Parsons have come forward revealing to the world afro-haired models are not required in the industry.

Even former model Bethann Hardison said earlier in 2007 that at castings models were told “sorry, no blacks, no ethics.”

This is probably the downside of modeling even though it is considered as one of the best jobs on Earth as one gets to wear all sorts of expensive clothes and the opportunity is high to travel the world. Moreover, without any effort the models always look hot.

However, the black models have a different experience here and they are usually rejected from castings due to their afro hair.

Black model Leomie Anderson revealed lately she had to struggle in the industry during her teenage days in finding makeup to match her skin tone.

Lilah Parsons replied to Anderson’s statement saying she usually had comments like “I hope times have changed” when she started modelling.

Born in 1988 in Hammersmith, London, as Lilah Veronica Parsons, she is a model, DJ and TV presenter and people best know her co-presenting Capital Breakfast with Dave Berry and George Shelley. She was also a presenter on MTV. She is represented by Roar Global Talent Agency.
