It is not yet very clear who was behind the attacks. Reuters cites a Syrian military source saying the government warplanes were not been used in the areas reported to have been attacked.

Currently Russia is conducting airstrikes in Syria in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Doctors Without Borders said they are outraged by the incident mentioning the hospital was the main referral center for pediatrics.

Eight doctors and 28 nurses were working at the facility. The organization, also known as Medicines Sans Frontieres, said the airstrike destroyed their intensive care unit, operating room and emergency room too.

Syria is suffering from civil war for past five years and more than 250,000 people have died so far.

Hospitals and other facilities of Doctors Without Borders were attacked earlier too.

The organization called earlier incident as a war crime and drew apologies from United States President Barack Obama.

At least seven people were killed earlier this year in February when a hospital in Maaret al-Numan town was deliberately attacked by airstrike.
