Australia To Elect Next PM Tomorrow

An urge has come from Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to vote for his conservative coalition again to help maintain continuity and stability in the country.

Not even one year has passed when the conservative coalition dumped the last prime minister.

Opposition leader Bill Shorten is vying to become the next PM. He played important role in his center-left Labor Party in ousting two PM’s.

Responding to the eight-week campaign statement of Turnbull he said stability cannot be achieved without unity.

Twenty-one seats are required to form a major government in the 150-seat House of Representatives. Currently 55 seats are held by Labor Party, 90 by coalition and five by minor parties or independents.

Deakin University political expert Geoff Robinson said the Labor is more generous on health and schools in their campaign where as the conservatives are regarded as better economic managers.

The government has been accusing Shorten for inciting divisive and outdated class warfare where as Labor accuses Turnbull for his self-made multi-millionaire worth that is estimated to be at AU$150 million (USD 110 million). It is also blamed he is out of touch with ordinary Australians.

Addressing to the media people at The National Press Club earlier this week Turnbull said he assure his office door was not shut and if he wins he will again stand for re-election in the 2019 PM election.

He added, “I’m making that commitment and that prediction and only time will tell.”
