A French TV channel televised Sunday night the footage of November 13 Paris attacks. A security camera at a busy bar at 9.40 p.m. showed the ISIS bomber walking into it and taking an empty table. Seconds later a flash behind him and puff of white smoke could be seen. He detonated his suicide belt.

The bomber was identified as 31-year-old Ibrahim Abdeslam. His body was ripped apart after the blast but fortunately no one was killed in the cafe.

The footage was televised on channel M6 during a special edition of the programme Zone Interdite. Criticisms flooded after airing from many of its two-million-strong audience. Some said the programme went too far.

One viewer wrote on Twitter, “I have goose bumps, butterflies in my stomach and am in tears.” One another viewer questioned whether it was normal airing someone blowing themselves.

Abdeslam’s brother Salah too tried detonating his belt on the same day at the Stade de France but failed in his attempt. He fled to Belgium and was captured just last month from Brussels.

A day after his arrest the ISIS militants attacked an airport and a subway station with suicide bombers that killed 32 people.

After the Paris attacks the mother of Abdeslam brothers said she was surprised Ibrahim had attacked the cafe.
