The controversial ‘one-child policy’ of China will soon come to an end. It is undoubtedly the most notorious of the Communist Party’s intrusions into Chinese lives for past 35 years.

China's Human Suffering One-Child Policy Changing To 2 Children

Beijing said Thursday the biggest population control experiment in history will end and couples will be allowed to have two children. However, it is yet to announced when the change will be implemented.

Introduced in 1980, the unpopular one-child rule was brutally enforced with abortions, forced sterilizations and huge fines too.

The announcement has been highly welcomed by people. Some couples said they will start trying conceiving a second child from the very night when the changed rule will be implemented.

According to Xinhua report, the proposal needs to be approved by the top legislature of the country before it can be enacted.

The new decision for the abolition of one-child policy came after a four-day strategy meeting of senior Communist Party officials at a Beijing hotel.

The current population of China is more than 1.3 billion people.

Meanwhile, the human rights group Amnesty International said the change is not enough and the state can’t regulate how many children couples should have.

China started its relaxing policy in January 2014 by allowing people to have a second baby if the father or mother was the only child.
