Facebook Rolls Feature On Android To Stop Taking Screenshot Of Profile Image

Misuse of profile picture is common and to avoid negative related incidences Facebook has come up with a new protection to it. Your photo can’t be copied, shared or misused otherwise from now.

Those concerned users who would like to guard their profile pictures on Facebook through a newly introduced system get assurance that other’s can’t send, share or download the images.

It is learned the guard will also shield the profile image with a blue shield and at least on Android it will be prevented from taking screenshots by others.

The social giant introduced the feature after getting information that some women in India don’t opt to upload their images.

Facebook said adding a design overlay to profile images restrict others from copying by at least 75 percent.

Users can add the layers with the help of newly introduced tools, but it does not cut the possibilities of copying completely.

Facebook added it is working on how to stop people from copying screenshot images via Android.

Still screenshots can be taken from desktop or laptop.

The tool is only introduced in India and it is not yet revealed whether the same will be rolled out for users of other countries too.

Miles need to be covered before the feature can be fully covering all the devices and so it is suggested to be careful while uploading your images on social media platforms.
