If you are running shortage of storage space in your iCloud account, follow the below tips before you shell out some extra cash to get more space. Before we proceed it is important to note Apple offers its 5 GB of free space only in one account and not per device.
Check your space
First of all check how much space you are using now. To do so head toward Settings and then select iCloud option on your iPad or iPhone. Click Storage thereafter and then option Manage Storage.
Delete old backups
It is very important to delete the old backups like the backups taken for your iPhone 4 or iPad 2 that you don’t own any more. To do so click on the backup scroll to bottom and then tap on Delete Backup option.
Change backup settings
Also, try not to backup items that you don’t need like Safari data if you are not using it as the best alternative is Google Contacts and Google Chrome.
Third-party photo cloud services
It is better to use third-party cloud services to store all your photos as some of those offer more space than Apple. This will keep much of your iCloud storage free.
