Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) released that that X1 customers in Oregon & SW Washington are now able to download programs they contain recorded on their digital video recorder or DVR to watch on IP-enabled devices or stream them utilizing an Internet connection, anytime and anywhere. Additionally, they are able to access their TV lineup on any connected screen in their home. The in-home streaming feature provides access to virtually the entire channel line-up and Xfinity On Demand programming on mobile devices and computers. The content is presented to customers via the familiar X1 user experience. According to the Consumer Electronics Association, nearly 46 percent of all TV households watch video on a laptop, notebook or netbook, and 43 percent view videos on a smartphone. That’s up from 38 percent and 33 percent, respectively, from the year prior. (NYSE:SLH) reported on Monday that it has decided to purchase 100 percent ownership of Identifix, a data-driven software-as-a-service firm within the $8B vehicle service, maintenance and repair total addressable market. The equity purchase agreement provides that Solera will purchase the remaining Service Repair Solutions joint venture interests from Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe for a purchase price of about $594.8 million in cash plus Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe’s approximate share of Service Repair Solutions’ present cash balance, which share is $25 million. The purchase anticipated to close immediately following the closing of Solera’s senior notes financing also announced Monday. Solera Holdings Inc. (NYSE:SLH) stock hit highest price at $44.31, beginning with a price of $43.38 and reported an advance of 0.95% to close at $43.44 with a day range of $43.33-$44.31.
