Jordan has shut down its border with Syria temporarily after attack on Tuesday that killed six people.

The minister of state for media matters, Mohammad al-Momani, said the country is temporarily also halting the building and expansion of refugee camps.

He added Jordan is calling upon the international community to understand the sovereign measures and also understand the move taken to maintain the security as well as stability.

The ISIS militants launched two suicide attack at the security forces of the country and killed four border guards, one national security official and one civil defense worker.

Gen. Mashal Mohammed Al Zabin, adviser of King Abdullah for military affairs, ordered the closing of border areas between the two countries. Vehicles and individuals if appears in the area without prior coordination will be seen as enemy target.

Jordan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Nasser Judeh, said the ISIS was behind the attack on Tuesday and called the militants of the group as murderers.

Judeh said about 100,000 people have crossed the border from Syria to Jordan and denied terror group has penetrated the refugee camps.

Until now no group has taken responsibility of the attack.
