Mozilla has updated its Firefox web browser for the iOS claiming it faster than before, more flexible and equipped with choice able features.

When the company first launched Firefox for the iOS mobile operating system it was warmly received, but later found to lack several features made available on the desktop equivalent.

It is reported testing of the updated browser showed a 40 percent reduction in CPU usage as well as 30 percent reduction in memory use. This means Firefox for the iDevices has become faster and also to make conservation of precious battery.

Mozilla has also added one touch buttons for several popular search engines including Wikipedia.

A brand new menu has been added too on the toolbar to allow for quick access and the updated browser gives easier navigational access to frequently used features. Recovering of closed tabs has now become easier.

Home button is housed in the menu to help quick return to the designated home page.

The web browser maker has announced to be stopping Flash support from August and steps would be taken to make the need of it less.

The latest update has been made available on the Apple App Store.
