At least five people have been killed and 15 others injured in a northeastern Lebanese village, Christian village of Qaa, few hundred meters away from Syrian border after a group of suicide bombers detonated explosives.

The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital.

No militants organization has yet taken credit of the rare multiple attack.

In the early hours, at around 4 a.m. local time, a group of suspicious men were seen passing through the village when civilian security men called out to them, said eyewitness. Before detonating their explosives, the men threw hand grenade to the civilian security too.

According to a Lebanese military official, one of the men blew himself in front of a home. When people gathered to the spot, other three men blew themselves one after another. Military members were injured too in the attacks.

Investigation to the attacks is under process.

Head of paramedics at the Lebanese Red Cross, George Kitane, confirmed death of five people.

It is yet to understand what or who were the target of the attackers, but the Lebanese Christians of the village have taken up arms to protect themselves against potential attack by Muslim extremists.

Militant group Hezbollah owned Al-Manar TV in the country reported six people have been killed in the multiple suicide attacks and blamed the ISIS for the acts.
