The key question is still being investigated following San Bernardino, California, massacre that left 14 dead and 21 others injured. San Bernardino Attackers Could Have Terrorism Links

The 28-year-old Chicago born Syed Rizwan Farook and his 27-year-old wife Tashfeen Malik were killed in exchange of gunfire with police on the chase after about four hours of the rampage.

According to San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan, the Islam following couple was not in bulletproof vests, but clad in black tactical gear.

Assistant director in charge of the FBI in Los Angeles, David Bowdich, said the motive is yet not known to them and it is also not understood whether the target was intended or something triggered them, but it is true the couple was in a mission there.

It is being said Farook was in touch with some of the suspected extremists through Facebook and his links suggest a deeper terror matrix behind Wednesday’s shootings.

Searching the couple’s home police has recovered hundreds of tools to made explosive devices, .223-caliber assault rifle rounds in thousands, 2,000 9-millimeter handgun rounds, and a dozen pipe bombs.
