In 2015 the Nigeria-based militant group pledged allegiance to the ISIS and lately it is reported they are struggling for leadership.

The ISIS has named Abu Musab al-Barnawi as the new leader of Boko Haram, but the old leader Abubakar Shekau still says he is in charge.

In April 2014 the Boko Haram abducted more than 200 girls from a school in Chibok.

The new video shows the girls appear to be in the custody of Shekau’s group.

Earlier this year in May one of the girls were found by the Nigerian authorities wandering in the Sambisa Forest. Her escape prompted the parents to increase pressure on the government.
