Third Saturday of every October is celebrated as Sweetest Day. It is often known as a twin of Valentine’s Day. It is a day to celebrate love in the highest form. It is a day for kindness, service and compassion apart from sending chocolates, cards, flowers, candles and goodies to someone very special.

The 3rd Saturday of October was declared as the Sweetest Day in 1922 when Herbert Birch Kingston, a candy store employee in Cleveland in Ohio, distributed sweets and candles to orphanages and hospitals.
