Two Teenagers Killed In Gang Shooting Separately Overnight In London

Two teenagers have been killed in London’s two different locations, raising questions once again on the rise of shooting and knifing in the UK capital.

In one incidence a 17-year-old girl was shot dead being caught in crossfire between rival gangs at Chalgrove Road in Tottenham.

Police received a call of shooting at 9:30 p.m. and officers rushed to the scene along with London Ambulance Service. The girl was found with a gun shot wouond and at 10:43 p.m. she was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and police are in search of the gangs. Eye witnesses are being interviewed.

In another incidence a 16-year-old boy was knifed at Walthamstow and is now in critical condition at a hospital in east London.

No arrests have been made yet but manhunt has been launched.

In 2018 violence has become a concerns for authorities amid high rise and murder rate overtaking New York for the first time in history.

Since the turn of the year the knife violence has surged and police chiefs have been struggling to cope with it.

In March a total of 22 people were murdered and the figure in February was 15 in the city.

Labour and Co-op MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy said, “Walthamstow – can confirm tonight we have had another serious incident involving shooting and stabbing… Appreciate this is very distressing – I will share more information as and when have it from official sources as only want to share what is confirmed.”
