Uber’s Self-Driving Car Meets Accident In Arizona

Uber’s self-driving car has met an accident. Its Volvo SUV has flipped over its side in Arizona.

According to Tempe police the accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday while the vehicls was driving southbound. Uber’s spokesman Josie Montenegro however claimed the SUV is not responsible for the accident, but another car failed to yield and struck it.

No person was seated on the self-driving car and so no casualty has been reported, but both the vehicles have sustained major damage.

The autonomous car started picking up customers in the state just last month with additional boost as the days are numbered when such vehicle will be launched across United States.

Meanwhile, Uber has been facing several bumps while legalizing the driverless cars. It is locked in a legal battle with Waymo too accused of stealing tarde secrets.

Waymo is the autonomous driving business division of Google.

Uber has lately been also criticized for sexist work environment.
