Launch of a Falcon 9 rocket little later today is important for SpaceX and it could be important to others too who are interested to known whether it succeeds after the failure on September 1 last year.

The launch event will take place at California’s Vandenburg Air Force Base and probably at 12:54 p.m. EST if everything ahead of it is perfect. It will be live streamed on the official site of SpaceX at this link – www.spacex.com/webcast (LIVE Webcast)

On September 1 the rocket met an accident at the launching pad and destroyed another vehicle during a test firing. Months of investigation found the cause of accident and thereafter a second permission has been given to resume launches.

In a recent report published in the Wall Street Journal it is learned a quarter-billion dollar annual loss occurred in 2015 after previous accident and fleet grounding.

The 2016 loss numbers could be just as bad, writes WSJ. Obviously halting services is no good for any business and this time it was about the length of four months.

SpaceX has also lately removed the claims from its website that says the company is profitable and its cash-flow is positive.

WSJ further add the company officials claim SpaceX has over $1 billion cash on hand there is currently no debt. Also, it is claimed long line of customers are waiting for future launches.
