Twitter may not ban United States President Donald Trump for his threat to iran as he is seen with a different lens by the microblogging site.

Last Sunday Trump warned Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani through an all-cap tweet saying Tehran would suffer consequences if threatens US.

Earlier Rouhani’s tweet for Trump read, “not play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally.”

Usually the type of reaction Trump showed over the platform attacts penalty from Twitter as its policy does not allow making threats of violence.

Twitter enforced such new strict rules last December to keep the platform safe from hateful content and reduce amount of online abuse, hate speech, harassment and violent threats.

The rule reads, “You may not make specific threats of violence or wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people.”

However, for the world leaders it seems Twitter has different policy standard as removing such controversial tweets may not make visible some important information that people should know and land in debates.

Following the announcement of new rules lot of discussions were initiated citing political figures and world leaders as blocking them won’t silence them and simultaneously hamper necessary discussion of their actions and worlds.
