It is said the Vatican too had sent a pair of shoes on behalf of Pope Francis. Across the world more than 2,000 events were organized to put pressure on the Climate Change summit to act and find out ways how to reduce industrial emissions and help in reducing the temperature of the planet.

About 45,000 people marched through the central business district in Sydney and according to Lord Mayor Clover Moore it was the largest ever climate march in the city.

Protesters were seen holding different placards reading “coal kills,” “say no to burning national forests for electricity” and “there is no Planet B.”

Hundreds of protesters in Seoul banged drums and danced, and in Hong Kong styrofoam polar bears were carried with placards like “please help” and “homeless and hungry.”

The activists are demanding for a shift to 100 percent renewable energies and also to phase-out of fossil fuels by 2050.
