Rowan County To Have Separate Law For Same-Sex Marriage?

Same-sex marriage licenses have been continuously refused by Kentucky clerk saying its God’s word.

Rowan County Clerk Kim Device is a longtime civil servant and has history of her own marital struggles. She divorced thrice and had kids before experiencing religious awakening.

Her act of defiance to the highest court of the country has rocked the community and made headlines across the nation. Protests have been sparked.

Lately the Kentucky state Senate president has come up defending the clerk. He said the US District Judge David Bunning need to give the state legislature some time so that a law is passed to exempt Rowan County Clerk.

The Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage across the nation in June this year

One couple said the clerk should be fined as she is earning from a taxpayer-funded salary and is failing to perform her duties.
