Even though officially it is not commented the Sands Casino in Bethlehem is expanding, but recently released audit report of the city of 2015 reveals the project is on card at the bet of $40 million.

Gclub writes unofficially word of expansion was also heard from several people for months at Sands poker room.

Former professional poker player Scott Correll said, “It’s not even a room. When you’re trying to win a $2,000 or $3,000 pot, you don’t want to hear slot machines going off… I’d much rather play in a dedicated room without all the distractions.”

After the expansion it is sure Sands to pocket more revenue with the addition of table games other than poker.

Usually poker is not a big money maker for any casino.

Meanwhile, it is not to forget the expansion also needs approval from the state Gaming Control Board. If more than 250 table games are to be set up, the Sands need special approval too.

Currently there are 237 table games. As of now no other casinos got more than 184.

However, approval would not be denied as over $9 million fees are paid by Sands to the city that helps in balancing the budget.

The present infrastructure of Sands includes restaurants, a shopping mall, a 302-room hotel and also a concert venue.
