Uber has started cleaning job. It has hired a new director of communications from Google and over one dozen employees have by now left the company.

Uber Restructuring Workforce; Several Senior Employees Quit

Five years ago in 2009 Uber was a tiny startup and now the ridesharing company has more than 3,000 employees across the world. The company is rumored to be worth up to $60 billion and lately has become one of the most valuable private tech companies. But where are the employees who had put all the efforts to help Uber climb successful ladder.

The new head of Marketplace Dynamics, Daniel Graf, who had earlier headed the team responsible for making the third-party Google Maps app for iPhone, is restructuring the communications and policy team of Uber.

Not less than three high-level directors left the company in November in the new move and several others have been effectively demoted.

The changes came in force after Whetstone brought on Jull Hazelbaker and chaired him as the vice president of communications and policy.

Hazelbaker was earlier with Google and VP of communications at Snapchat.

Restructuring is common in companies after new management takes over the charges and for Uber it is required as the company was just a scrappy startup five years ago and now has turned up to a ride-hailing giant.
