China seems not impressed with the complex relationship of US with Vietnam after the latest arms deal between the two countries. It warned US President Barack Obama not to spark fire in Asia.

On Monday Obama unveiled historic step in his visit to Vietnam insisting it is not based on China, but said both the countries share common concern about China’s actions in the South China Sea.

Vietnam and China are united in their communist ideology. The two also share distate for Western democracy. However, both the nations have fought a bloody border war too and the recent one was in 1979. Lately they contest sovereignty over several small islands in the South China Sea.

In an editorial the China Daily has warned Tuesday Vietnam and US must not spark regional tinderbox. It is believed the move of Obama is meant to curb the rise of China.

The Communist Party mouthpiece further added, “This, if true, bodes ill for regional peace and stability.”

Meanwhile, the Washington has always accused Beijing of militarizing the South China Sea by turning contested reefs and rocks into putative military bases.
