Hurricane Danny has strengthened up as it moves across the Atlantic. It is now termed as Category 2 and heading toward the Caribbean at a speed of 105 mph.

According to National Hurricane Center (NHC), Danny was 930 miles east of Leeward Islands at 11 a.m. ET. It was spinning towards west-northwest with wind speed at just 10 mph.

If the hurricane continues with the same track it will cross Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, Guadeloupe and other neighboring islands by Monday. Miami-based weather forecaster says the current speed is expected to continue tonight.

As of now there is no coastal warning, but its progress will be monitored for the interest of Leeward Islands of the Caribbean.

The hurricane center said Danny could bring rain in several parched Caribbean islands and it includes the Puerto Rico too. The winds force may extend outward up to 60 miles.

Hurricanes range from Category 1 to Category 5.
