Android Creator Andy Rubin Coming With Smartphone To Compete iPhone

Can Apple’s iPhone be easily challenged? Creator of Android, Andy Rubin, is planning to make a comeback. He had left Google some two years ago and is now planning to take on the smartphone industry.

The Android creator may soon announce a new company dubbed as Essential and he may serve it as CEO.

If believed to insider, Essential would be a consumer hardware company and to focus on several devices together. Its main project would be a high-end smartphone equipped with edge-to-edge display.

It is learned he may launch an AI-based high-end premium smartphone that may compete with iPhone and also to rival Google Pixel as well as some other top-tier Androind handsets.

Rubin’s idea behind new smartphone is to make it capable of getting new hardware updates and not to make those old.

Essential was registered last year with the US Patent and Trademark Office and currently employs more than three dozen people who are recruited from Apple and Google.

The company is busy working on a suite of consumer hardware products and one of its smartphones is being worked currently upon boasts of a screen larger than the iPhone 7 Plus.

If things go according to Rubin’s plan the company may launch its first smartphone by June. Foxconn is learned having talks with Essential to manufacture the smartphones.
