Apple Seems Ditching 16GB iPhone 7

A Chinese shopping site has lately posted the prices of upcoming iPhone 7 models and the entry-level listed on it shows a variant with storage capacity of 32GB. Does this reveal Apple is killing away the 16GB variant.

Also, not to forget, in 2014 the iDevice giant had doubled the top two tiers of the iPhone. The 32GB and 64GB were doubled to 64GB and 128GB, and the prices remained same.

Earlier this year it was predicted by analyst firm Trendforce the iPhone 7 would support 256GB of on-board storage to offer customers lots of room for videos and apps.

It is not yet confirmed whether the feature to come in iPhone 7, but a US patent has been awarded to Apple for a system that can forcefully disable video-recording functions of an iPhone at concert halls.

One of the earlier reports reveal Apple may come up with three version of its flagship phone this year namely the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro or else Plus Premium.

Several sources have also claimed Apple may come up with waterproof and dustproof iPhone 7. Business Insider writes the ports of it could be covered with a self-healing elastomer.

Meanwhile, Financial Times reported security of the phone could be further tightened via the iCloud service to keep law enforcement agencies more frustrated in investigations. The New York Times reported engineers at Apple are working on new security measures.
