Assad Is Better Leader Than ISIS Following Failed Syrian Policy Of Obama To Step Him Down

The Syrians are in better position to choose who their president is following Donald Trump becoming the president of United States.

The Obama government initiated the policy to make Bashar Assad step down and even after years it just remained an idea. In fact the Syrian president has grown much stronger now.

A hint has been emerged by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that Trump could take a U-turn in the policy and will no longer insist Assad to step down.

In fact, it is believed Obama too dropped the idea of forcing Assad to step down long before even though he maintained the original approach for Syria publicly.

Trump has been lately seen opposing a lot of what Obama did and soon he may come up saying, “we are changing our position (for Syria).” It makes sense, of course.

After years of civil war in Syria it is certainly believed Assad is better than ISIS or Al-Qaeda, if not the perfect leader for the Syrians.

However, Obama did gain some success like kicking out the ISIS fighters from cities, but the militants would still fight as guerrillas. The war is not over.

On the other hand the changed position of Trump may anger Turkey. Ankara is also more offended from the denial of giving back Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, who is accused of masterminded the coup attempt in the country last year.

Gulen is currently living in Pennsylvania.
