The terror suspect who attacked a crowded Christian market in Berlin earlier this week is learned to have been on the US no-fly list for months.

Anis Amri, who was identified as suspect after his fingerprint matched with those found in the cab of the truck used in Monday’s attack, is at larged and German officials is considering him to be armed and dangerous.

The New York Times reported Amri was listed in US no-fly category after officials discovered him to have contacted the Islamic State terror group at least once and had also researched on the construction of explosive devices.

US always tried to keep Amri out of the country while Germany get him to leave.

Amri is 24-year-old Tunisian-born who left his country in 2010 after stealing a truck and arrived in Italy where he landed in prison for setting fire to a school at a refugee camp. In July 2015 he applied for asylum in Germany that was denied in June 2016.

However, he was never deported as Tunisia initially claimed couldn’t find evidence of him being its citizen and hence delayed in sending him a passport.

Meanwhile, Germany monitored his connections to extremists, but he was never arrested in the country. Despite uncovering some troubling connections his case was dropped in September.

Finally he killed 12 and injured 48 on Monday by driving a truck in a crowd on Monday.
