Greece Arranges More Staff, Ships To Get Stranded Migrants Out Of Lesbos

Around 25,000 migrants are stranded on the island of Lesbos. To deal with the them the Greek government as well as the UN refugee agency have brought some extra ships and some extra staff too. Apart from these, a processing center has been set up too to help them enter Athens.

According to a statement by a Greek minister, the island is one the verge of explosion.

Apart from the migrants crisis on island of Lesbos, several more in hundreds have started entering capital Budapest on foot after breaking the police lines on Hungary’s border with Serbia.

Stones were pelted on officers who were trying to stop them with pepper spray. About 300 migrants were thereafter seen walking a motorway, but on the wrong way. Police officer escorted them and later they were taken by bus.

Thousands of migrants and refugees are fleeing from Africa and Middle East to get asylum in Germany and other countries after crossing Hungary, which has become a bottleneck for them.

Last weekend about 200,000 migrants made their way to Austria and Germany from Hungary.

Meanwhile, UK has said to be accepting up to 20,000 refugees in next five years.
