Kim Jong Un Claims North Korea Has Developed Hydrogen Bomb

North Korea leader Kim Jong Un claims Thursday the country has developed hydrogen bomb. The statement was made while he was on a tour inspecting an upgraded arms plant in Pyongyang Revolutionary Site.

Kim’s grandfather Kim II Sung founded the site. He was the eternal president. His father Kim Jong II too visited several times to the site. Their efforts have turned North Korea into a powerful nuclear weapons state.

Hydrogen bomb uses more advanced technology compared to atomic bomb to produce more powerful blast. it is also known as thermonuclear bomb.

South Korea said their intelligence agency has no evidence the other part of Korea has developed hydrogen bomb and believes the leader is speaking rhetorically.

The two Korean countries are technically at war with each other since their 1950-53 conflict ended in a truce and not a treaty. Frequently the North has been threatening to destroy the South.

In 2006, 2009 and 2013 North Korea conducted underground nuclear tests.

China’s government said they have no report whether North Korea has developed hydrogen bomb.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Huan Chunying said situation on the Korean peninsular is fragile, complex and delicate as well.
