It is said Baghdadi died over the weekend. Shia Ahlul Bayt News Agency published an article about the man who has been in charge of the extremist organization.

The news agency cited Arabic media and al-Amaq, which wrote, “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed by coalition airstrikes on Raqqa on the fifth day of Ramadan.”

Last week, on Thursday, Express story claimed Baghdadi was injured after his convoy was hit by airstrikes near Nineveh in Iraq.

The Guardian published a news early last month Baghdadi was incapacitated due to spine injuries.

News of Baghdadi’s alleged death has been circulating in various media for past few weeks. However, Army Col. Chris Garver, the public affairs chief of the US-led coalition against ISIS, said he could not confirm the news and warned not to believe Baghdadi was dead.
