Megan Fox Replacing Zooey Deschanel On New Girl

There may not be more surprising news than Megan Fox stepping in for Zooey Deschanel. She has replaced the 29-year-old star who is on long leave, at home, caring for her first baby girl she had last month with husband Jacob Pechenik.

On the small screen Zooey’s character Jess will be shown sequestered on jury duty and by 6th episode she will be forced to leave the town. She will be subletting her apartment to a gorgeous and straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales representative Reagon (played by Fox) who has come to town on business.

Liz Meriwether, the executive producer and creator of New Girl, said it is insane that a gorgeous star can be funny, and need to accept it too. However, she is the perfect person for the show as she was in mind while writing the piece of the show.

Earlier, Megan Fox had played niece of Kelly Ripa in two seasons of Hope & Faith. She was also seen in one episode of Two And A Half Men in the first season.

The gorgeous star has meanwhile filed a divorce from her husband after their marriage relationship for five years. Both share two boys.
